Safety Forward was founded in 2014 by the director Marisa Firkins following 22 years with the National Crime Agency.
Marisa saw an opportunity to create a forward thinking, innovative business that focused on a tailored service to meet the needs of the modern business. During the business development stages, Marisa saw that many organisations were signing up to the main health and safety providers only to find themselves locked in to lengthy contracts with only a generic suite of documents provided. This approach provides no value to business and only serves to be a tickbox exercise.
It was Marisa’s ambition to provide an unrivalled working partnership with her clients. Marisa believes that working close with her clients, they can become more confident to grow sustainably and without risk. Our clients tell us our people and our leader are our strength. We aim for our clients to be the same.

Our history
The business was created by Marisa Firkins in 2014. Her desire to do things differently was born out of an ethical, visionary approach to workplace health and safety. Marisa now uses her experience to mentor and develop new and emerging talent both with her own team and through to her wide client and professional network.
The business has grown organically through referrals and reputation since its inception.
