For the UK as a whole, never before have we experienced such challenging times. We know this may be worrying for many of you out there, so we wanted to bring you up to speed with what we are doing to help you weather the storm.
Our suppliers
We are paying all our suppliers on time including our IT support, Software Package Providers and Professional Licences. We understand that businesses and families depend on our custom so we are ensuring we are meeting our commitments and are doing our bit by keeping the cashflow going. This also helps maintain good relationships, which is the one of the most important things to us.
We are keeping in touch with our suppliers to let them know what is happening within our business. We are continuing to work with them and value their ongoing support.
Our staff
As a team, we are currently working from home and supporting our clients through virtual meetings using either Microsoft Teams or Zoom. We are keeping in touch with one another to ensure that our welfare and mental health remains a top priority. Our hours of business are 9am-5pm. Any calls or emails after 5pm will be actioned the following day. We are rotating staff around so that we all get the chance to update our skillset and knowledge through online learning. The team are also encouraged to take part in voluntary work within their communities.
Our retained customers
We are undertaking much of our work through video and telephone calls. Some examples of how we are supporting our retained clients are:
- Offering 29 free elearning courses
- Reviewing of their current policies, risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Preparation for H&S Accreditations such as CHAS, Constructionline and Safecontractor
- Providing free Coronavirus tools such as remote workers checklists and risk assessments
- Providing up to date help and advice around keeping safe and protecting your employees against COVID 19
Unfortunately, we can only provide the above support whilst you stay within your contract. This is due to restrictions within our insurance and our governing body code of conduct. The IOSH Code of Conduct defines our service standards that we strictly work to. If you are interested in receiving any of the above services then please drop us a request to info@safetyforward.co.uk. Remember, you can get regular updates by entering your email address in to our Contact page.
We are able to book tentative site visits in our calendars from 1st June 2020, just in case the restrictions are lifted. If they are not, we will look to move the appointments to a time that seems realistic based on the current government advice. Once we are able to undertake site visits again, we will prioritise our support to retained clients who have stayed with us over this challenging period. It is likely we will refrain from taking on new or past clients in order to meet the immediate needs of our current clients. Your loyalty is extremely important to us, so we will ensure you remain our top priority.
Our non-retained customers
We are offering our non-retained customers the chance to purchase 29 Online Health & Safety Courses for £29+VAT which is an absolute bargain! Furloughed staff can undertake learning as there are no restrictions around this. If you have some work coming up over the next few months then start chatting to us now so we can get prepared.
Are you making full use of the free online learning and resources for managing the risk of COVID19? The Institute of Safety and Health (IOSH) has collborated with industry experts to bring you the most up-to-date guidance.
We will endeavour to keep in touch with you on a weekly basis and we look forward to seeing you all on the other side.
Best wishes and stay safe,
Marisa & the team
Safety Forward.
